With Tiny being a physical creature I wanted to give her the extra challenge of moving across various rungs so we dug out this ladder for her. It has been a joy watching her learn to coordinate her movements; problem solve and adjust her centre of gravity to move up and over.

The Woods
When I was pregnant I took a walk every morning in the woods and felt Tiny going to sleep in my tummy. She loved the motion of walking. After leaving the hospital on the first day we had her at home, I put her in the sling and took her through the woods. To my amazement I saw a kingfisher fly up the river and sit on an overhanging branch - a portent of love and peace. Haven't seen one there since but Tiny still loves to fall asleep in the fresh dream of greenly spirit.

Pebbles
Tiny frequently makes a beeline for these pebbles as she is fascinated by them. Up close they contain many colours and vary in texture so I can understand why. However I need to watch her so closely that none go in her mouth. She also tries to carry them off in her tight little clenched fists! She enjoyed pushing her feet into them and listening to the crunchy sounds they made.

Post Box
Tiny often picks up our trainers to play with the laces and this isn't ideal as we've been outside in them. So this morning using a trainer box I made some holes in it and laced up a pair of laces for her to play with. To add some visual interest I taped some pipe cleaners into another hole. This very quickly turned into a posting box and the laces were ignored! She began to push things into the box, lean over and peer in.
To begin with she tried pushing in objects perpendicular to the pipe cleaners then worked out she needed to line things up so they would fall in.
The left-over bits of pipe cleaner along with some rice made an attractive little shaker for her.
